October 3, 2011. To encourage youth involvement in the business, Mortgage Bank opens a business plan competition "Jump into business!"
Mortgage Banks competition "Jump into business!" is organized in cooperation with the association LĪDERE for the second year and calls for the participation of young people aged 18 to 30 years. 30 Business Plan competition winners will be offered business mentor who will help start a business, the best five will receive 1000 LVL awards and the next 5 - 500 LVL prizes to start their own business.
To participate, person or group of persons prepare description of business ideas (no more than three pages), and this description with the application and CV must be submitted to the Mortgage Bank by November 21, 2011.
By December 12, 2011 those candidates will be announced who have entered the second round.
Second-round participants will be invited to prepare a business plan in four weeks - if necessary, with assistance of the Mortgage Bank employees. A business plan must be submitted by January 6, 2012.
Winners will be announced on January 24, 2012.

MENTORING ROUND TABLE 2012, 3rd MEETING
18.01.2012. LĪDERE continues new initiative 3rd meeting took place.
Association LĪDERE offers new initiative - to complement our existing mentoring programme for entrepreneurs with a new activity - "Mentoring Round Table" - a one mentees meeting with a group of mentors who could brainstorm on mentees questions.
The third mentee who received this support was Arita Zaķe.
We are very grateful to mentors who participated in the meeting and shared their ideas, advice and experience members of LĪDERE: Ilze Švāne, Zane Ozola, Māra Špicberga, Silvija Kārkliņa, Anita Viļuma and experienced entrepreneur, who acts as mentors in mentoring programmes for entrepreneurs organized by LĪDERE - Linda Miezīte.
We will continue to held a meeting once every two months, the third Wednesday of the month at 15:00 Riga, Graudu Street 68, Publishing Houses Applied Information Service premises.
Next meeting will be held on March 23, 2012 at 15:00.
